Headstone cleaning and custom monuments in Middle Tennessee
Mastermind Creation Co. is a family-owned Michigan memorial company, and Tennessee is where our family is. Our family already lives in Middle Tennessee, so expanding our memorial services into Greenbrier, Springfield, White House, Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Gallatin, Clarksville, and the communities around them is not a business decision we made on a map. It is a next chapter in the place our family calls home.
Why Tennessee
We are currently based in Michigan while we build that long-term presence, and we eventually plan to establish our primary home base in Tennessee. Until that day comes we will say exactly that: Michigan is where the shop is today, Tennessee is where the family is and where the company is heading.
Towns and counties we are building around
One page instead of thirty thin ones, because a page for every town would imply a route for every town. These are the communities closest to our family and the ones we are working outward from.
Also in reach across Middle Tennessee: Portland, Cottontown, Ridgetop, Millersville, Madison, Nashville, Pleasant View, Ashland City, Adams, Cedar Hill, Orlinda, Coopertown, and the communities around them. Somewhere else in Tennessee? Ask. A person will tell you honestly whether we can reach it.
What we do in Tennessee
Professional headstone cleaning
$80 per stone, the same price as Michigan. Biological cleaners, soft brushes, and water. No bleach, no acids, no pressure washing, no wire brushes.
Memorial preservation
Marble, limestone, and sandstone markers handled as the soft, porous stones they are, with the method chosen for the stone in front of us rather than a single recipe applied to everything.
Family plot cleaning
A whole plot cleaned in one visit rather than one stone at a time, which is usually what a family in the Thumb or in Robertson County actually needs.
Cemetery cleaning contracts
Section-by-section or grounds-wide agreements for cemeteries, associations, and boards, quoted on the number of memorials and the condition they are in.
Cemetery preservation projects
Older and historical grounds where the work is stabilisation and careful cleaning rather than a fast pass, done at the pace the stone can take.
Custom monuments and memorials
Drawn with the family, laser etched or sandblasted, and set where cemetery rules and installation requirements allow.
Municipal and cemetery contract work
City, county, and township cemetery work, including vendor applications and formal bid or RFP responses.
Large-volume cemetery cleaning
Hundreds of memorials scheduled as a project with a written scope, rather than as hundreds of separate bookings.
Restoration partnerships
Working alongside historical societies, preservation groups, and veteran organisations already caring for a cemetery.
What a cleaning includes
- Professional biological cleaning with soft brushes and water — no bleach, no acids, no pressure washing, no wire brushes.
- The method chosen for the stone: marble, limestone, and sandstone are soft and porous, and the wrong approach removes surface permanently.
- Light trimming and edging around the base where appropriate.
- Before and after photographs sent to you when the stone is finished, so a family who cannot get to the cemetery still sees the result.
- Every paid cleaning honours a veteran through the One-for-One Veteran Memorial Program, in Tennessee exactly as in Michigan.
- $80 per stone is the finished job. Nothing else is owed afterward.
Cemeteries, churches, municipalities, and boards
If you look after a cemetery rather than a single grave, this is the conversation we want. Section-by-section or grounds-wide cleaning, preservation work on older and historical stones, vendor applications, and formal bid or RFP responses are all ordinary work for us. A project is quoted on the number of memorials and the condition they are in, with a written scope before anything starts — not a per-stone price multiplied by five hundred.
Cemetery associations and boards
Grounds-wide or phased cleaning agreements, with a written scope and a documented method the board can put in front of its members.
Churches and funeral homes
Cleaning for a congregation's own grounds, and referral arrangements where a funeral home wants a memorial-care partner it can hand a family to.
Municipal and county cemeteries
City, county, and township work, including vendor applications and formal bids. We answer the paperwork properly rather than sending a flyer.
Historical and preservation groups
Older grounds where the work is stabilisation and careful cleaning at the pace the stone can take, alongside the people already caring for it.
Monuments and memorials
Monuments are drawn with the family first, then cut. Flat markers from $400, bevels from $600, slants from $1,250, uprights from $1,500, benches from $2,750 to $4,300, and family or estate monuments from $6,500, with laser etching from $400 on Jet Black granite and sandblasting in other colors. Custom shapes — hearts, crosses, angels and wings, open books, obelisks, tree and rustic rock-pitch stones, children's shapes, and hobby silhouettes — are quoted per project after a free consultation. Setting in a Tennessee cemetery is confirmed against that cemetery's rules and installation requirements as part of the quote.
Questions from Tennessee families
Do you actually work in Tennessee, or is this just a website page?
We do. Our family already lives in Middle Tennessee, and expanding the business there is a genuine long-term plan rather than a marketing line. What we will not do is pretend the move is further along than it is: the company is currently based in Davison, Michigan, there is no Tennessee office or street address yet, and there is no standing Tennessee route on a calendar. Tell us the cemetery and what the stone needs, and a person will tell you plainly what we can do and when.
How much is headstone cleaning in Tennessee?
$80 per stone, the same as Michigan. That is the finished job: the trip, the full biological wash, light trimming and edging around the base, and before-and-after photographs sent to you. A commercial, cemetery, municipal, government, or large-volume project is quoted separately, because the price of five hundred memorials is not the price of one memorial five hundred times.
Which Tennessee towns and counties do you cover?
We are building around Greenbrier, Springfield, White House, Goodlettsville, Hendersonville, Gallatin, Clarksville, and the surrounding Middle Tennessee communities, in Robertson County, Sumner County, Davidson County, Montgomery County. If your cemetery is somewhere else in Tennessee, ask anyway. We would rather answer honestly about whether we can reach it than leave you guessing.
Is your main office in Tennessee now?
No. We are currently based in Michigan while building a long-term presence in Tennessee, where our family lives and where we eventually plan to establish our primary home base. Michigan is where the shop is today, and Michigan work carries on exactly as it is: weekly cleaning routes through the Thumb and statewide monument sales throughout Michigan.
Can you handle a whole cemetery, not just one stone?
Yes, and it is some of the work we most want in Tennessee. Section-by-section or grounds-wide cleaning for cemeteries, associations, boards, churches, municipalities, and townships is quoted on the number of memorials and the condition they are in, with a written scope before anything starts. Historical and older grounds are treated as preservation work rather than a fast pass.
How do you clean the stones?
Biological cleaners, soft brushes, and water. No bleach, no acids, no pressure washing, no wire brushes. Marble, limestone, and sandstone are soft, porous stones and the wrong method takes surface off them permanently, so the method is chosen for the stone in front of us. It is the same standard the National Park Service and the VA expect for government-furnished markers.
Can you make a monument for a Tennessee cemetery?
Yes. Monuments are drawn with the family, laser etched or sandblasted, and set where the cemetery's rules and installation requirements allow. Flat markers start at $400, bevels at $600, slants at $1,250, uprights at $1,500, benches from $2,750 for a 3 foot flat top to $4,300 for a 4 foot couch bench with the foundation included, and family or estate monuments at $6,500, with laser etching from $400. A color picture on a bench adds to the price. Delivery and setting in Tennessee are confirmed as part of the quote rather than assumed.
Are you still serving Michigan?
Yes, without any reduction. Michigan cleaning routes run as they always have, and monument sales and memorial projects remain available statewide throughout Michigan, with Genesee, Lapeer, Sanilac, Huron, Oakland, Macomb as the closest local market. Tennessee is being added, not swapped in.
Tell us what the stone needs
Send the cemetery, the town, and what you are looking at — a single marker, a family plot, or a whole section — and a person will reply with what we can genuinely do and when. Nothing is charged for asking, and we would rather tell you the honest answer than sell you a date we cannot keep.
Michigan, unchanged
Michigan is where the shop is and where the routes run. Headstone cleaning is $80 per stone through our Michigan cleaning counties, and monument sales and memorial projects are available statewide throughout Michigan. Tennessee is being added to that, not swapped in for it.
